On the Other Side of the Fence is a musical for children. The story introduces two farms located on either side of a fence. For years, the farmers have lived as enemies and their prejudice against each other and each other’s farm has cast a cloud of fear and wonder over the animals. Communication was always forbidden until the unexpected meeting and subsequent friendship that developed between Ham and Bacon, pigs living on opposing sides.
The opinions and feelings of all the animals are expressed in different ways as everyone comes to terms with the situation. The conclusion brings a unanimous vote on both farms, for the farmers to “take the fence away.” The farmers and their animals learn to respect and accept each others’ differences, overcoming the prejudice and ignorance which lasted for so long.

Something Magical songs have a way of staying with you. Catchy melodies and memorable lyrics tell the story and convey powerful messages about friendship, loyalty, independence and being true to yourself--songs like “Good Friends”:
GOOD FRIENDS
Good friends
Should stick together
In the bad times as well as the
Good friends
Should share some secrets
Open some doors
Good friends could
Be there when you need them
Ready to listen
No matter what the time of day
Good friends
Should always be that way
Good friends
Should be forever
Like a treasure to hold in your hand
And when
You’re down and lonely
Your friend will be there
To understand
No matter where you are
There’s something between you
Keeping you close each day
Good friends
Should always be that way
Good friends…should be there for you
Good friends…should be that way
Good friends…should be there for you
Good friends…should be that way
